Synopsis
In 2020, The Wall Street Journal Magazine's annual Innovator Awards premiered for the fist time ever in a virtual format and marked the 10th anniversary of the gala. The event honors visionaries across all disciplines, and this year featured pop culture, music, entertainment, philanthropy, architecture, television, art and literature. Honorees included BTS, Darren Walker, Jennifer Lopez, Michaela Coel, Patti Smith, Titus Kaphar and Tyler Perry, and awards were presented by the likes of Ava Duvernay, Ethan Hawke, and James Corden, amongst others. The event featured intimate films of each honoree, highlighted past innovators and included remarks from key individuals from the Wall Street Journal Magazine team. This suite of content was streamed live, expanded across social platforms, and reached a wider audience than ever before.
