Biography
Richard Hunter is a London-based filmmaker known for performance-driven comedy that finds humour in the uncomfortable details of human behaviour.
Working closely with actors, he builds grounded, character-led moments and then subtly pushes them into the surreal, often enhanced through seamless CGI that never overwhelms the performance but quietly amplifies it.
Having written multiple short films and two features, he brings a writer’s instinct to every project — shaping ideas from within and elevating the creative beyond the script. Rather than punchlines, Richard pursues reactions, crafting worlds where comedy emerges from behaviour, timing and the strange logic of everyday life.
