Austin Peters is a director, writer and artist living and working in Los Angeles, California.

Austin takes a very stylistic approach to making cutting edge and moving films. His work is dreamy and timeless, using bold camera moves and inventive ideas to bring his characters to life and render worlds that you feel like you can live in. He got his start directing music videos for various breakout artists such as Haim, Bastille and Major Lazer. In 2017 he directed the feature documentary Give Me Future about the free Major Lazer concert in Havana, Cuba that drew half a million fans. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was one of the first films acquired by Apple as they moved into the entertainment space. He often brings this same docu-drama style of filmmaking to his music videos and commercial films, which can be seen in his work with artists like Orville Peck, Diplo, Chvrches and Rae Sremmurd, and in work for brands like Vogue, i-D, Wrangler, American Express, Rag & Bone, and Target.

Most recently he directed the entire visual album for Orville Peck’s Bronco album and Use Me (Brutal Hearts)  music video for Diplo feat. Dove Cameron and Sturgill Simpson featuring a performance by Sean Penn.

He is currently in post production on his debut narrative feature Skincare , a movie he co-wrote and directed starring Elizabeth Banks.
