Synopsis
American Heart in WWI: A Carnegie Hall Tribute is a PBS special created and narrated by historian John Monsky that tells the story of America's role in World War I through a fusion of music, storytelling, rare film, and photographs. Filmed at Carnegie Hall and premiered on Veterans Day, November 11, 2025, the production incorporates both fictional characters inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and real-life figures to explore the experiences of those who fought and those left behind.
