We brought together recording artist Pharrell Williams with Sprint to celebrate the launch of the new HTC smartphone by producing an innovative, technology-driven performance with a crowd of 750 fans at New York City’s Webster Hall.
Each audience member was given an HTC device with our custom app that synced and networked the phones. We placed the crowd as the sole collaborative backing track for the song while each screen combined to create a dynamic animation floating above the crowd.
The phone featured Harmon Kardon audio for exceptional sound quality, with music fans participating in a live interactive experience that connected them to the performance through sound and light. Each audience member received an HTC phone; networked together, the phones were the sole source of audio for Pharrell. The phones were also synched to change color and flash light to the beat of the song.
The invite-only concert for Sprint competition winners, media and VIP guests attracted a star-studded crowd that lived long after Pharrell's performance was over.
